Solar System

The Sun

The sun is made out of plasma and is also a star also stars are balls of gas so the sun is a ball of gas so it’s a star.  The sun mainly hits the equator so the country that lives near the equator is very hot. Basically if you or, your, family or your friend lives somewhere hot they live near the equator. You need 1.2 Saturn’s to fill the sun. The sun has a giant mas of 2000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000[that’s a lot of zeros] that is unbelievable so if you ever estimate how big Saturn is it’s pretty big because 1.2 Saturn’s fill the sun. Earth And Moon

Earth is known as a blue planet but it has land on it. It is not true because Earth has land on it that people live on. It is not a blue planet but the only blue thing is the water. So Earth is not known as a blue planet.Earth has 1 moon that comes out at night but some people say that the moon comes out in the day.  The is out but the Earth spins around so it is facing the other way.  So it is not true but it is out in the daylight.  By Mohammed.

Gas Planets

Gas planets have many interesting things about them. Read on to find out some of them.Gas planets are very dangerous and explosive. Here are some of them Uranus , Saturn ,Neptune and Jupiter . Did you now that Uranus was named after a Greek  god of the sky but was almost named Georgeian after king gorge the 3rd (how bizarre) . Many planets are named after gods such as Saturn and Jupiter. Uranus has 13 rings just like Saturn .  Did you now Saturn’s rings are made out of ice and Uranus’s rings are molten rock? By Simra.

Rock Planets

There have been many important discoveries about Rock Planets. Firstly, scientist have found that Mars is the planet most likely to sustain life. In fact, scientists think people should live on Mars. Although Mercury, Venus, Earth, and Mars are made from rock, and the rest are made from gas. Even though they have gas they are still rock planets Mercury is the closest planet to the Sun yet it is not the hottest Venus is the hottest planet in the solar system.   By Adam J

Dwarf Planets

There used to be a planet called Pluto but scientists discovered that it is way too small to be a planet so it is now a dwarf planet. Pluto is made out of rock yet some people think it is made out of gas. As well as that, there is a planet right at the edge of the solar system. Its nickname is Goblin and it is made out of rock. Goblin’s orbit is extremely elongated — so stretched out, in fact, that it takes 40,000 years for it to circle the sun. The distance from Earth to the sun, or roughly 150 million kilometres. On the other hand there are six dwarf planets. The dwarf planets names are: Pluto, Goblin, Ceres, Eris, Makemake and Haumea. By Linda
